Update: Deco at Dusk - Open House & Bridal Showcase

Last week I announced The Allan House's upcoming Open House & Bridal Showcase - Deco at Dusk, and today I am so thrilled to share the list of participating vendors.

Crave Catering will be here serving delicious appetizers and fine wine that you won't want to miss.   Some of the tastiest cakes in Austin will be served by Simon Lee Bakery. The talented Ava Arenella will be performing jazz music inside the house, and Look No Further Entertainment will be in the courtyard providing tunes. Gorgeous linens and rentals from Marquee and stunning florals from Verbena will set the mood for the Old Hollywood inspired evening.  Lighting throughout the house and courtyard provided by Ilios will add a breathtaking accent to the venue.  BZ Events, Inviting Affairs, Daniel C. Photography, and the Honeymoon Guru will all be here to mingle and share their expert advice.

Deco At Dusk- Open House and Bridal Showcase

It is time again for our seasonally Open House and Bridal Showcase at The Allan House, and we are thrilled to announce that our upcoming event -Deco at Dusk- will be held on Wednesday, April 27th from 5:30pm-8:30pm.

Enjoy the soothing jazz of Ava Arenella as you mingle with some of Austin's finest wedding vendors. Delicious hors d'oeuvres and drinks will be served all evening.

I was beyond thrilled when I received a package in the mail containing the fabulous images from Erin and Jonathan's Central Christian Church ceremony and Allan House reception. Thank you so much, Vanessa!

Erin and Jonathan shared a first glance outside the church before the ceremony took place.

Anibella Ink + Paper created all of the gorgeous paper goods.

The Central Christian Church is even more stunning in person.

 

After the ceremony, the walk to the reception was less than a block away.

It was the first event of the season to take place in our Winter Tent and could not have been more gorgeous. Wedding  planner extraordinaire Becky Brock of BZ Events made sure the evening was perfect.

The luxurious linens were special ordered from Distinctive Details.

Last Petal created the beautiful florals and birdcage decor.

This simple yet flawless cake was the work of our friends at Simon Lee Bakery.

Introducing: iDJ by Marquee Rents

Trying to cut down the costs of having a fabulous wedding can be a daunting task. We have seen a trend with some of our budget conscious brides at The Allan House, to opt out of hiring a DJ and instead, use an iPod along with a rented speaker system.

Although we highly recommend hiring a professional DJ or band for your special event, our friends at Marquee Rents have created quite an enticing alternative... iDJ!

 

Marquee simplifies the music situation at your event by doing all of the work for you! iDJ is their new service that will provide all of the equipment you need (including the iPod!) and even create custom playlists for your big day. They will drop it off, set it up, make sure it works, and come back to pick it up. DIY can be stressful, but Marquee's solution is budget friendly AND stress-free!

Update: January Open House & Bridal Showcase

Last week I announced The Allan House's upcoming promotional event on Wednesday, January 26 -Fête Française. Today I am excited to share our list of participating vendors.

BZ Events will be here to talk with brides who are in need of a wedding planner or day-of coordinator. You won't want to miss out on delicious hors d'oeuvres from Dagar's Catering. The Allan House will be all dressed up with specialty linens and our winter tent courtesy of Marquee Event Group, along with gorgeous florals from Verbena. The super talented Kristen Smith will be performing inside the house, and Greenbelt DJ will set the mood out in the tent. You will definitely want to check out Hyde Park Photography's work and take a few pics in the Say Cheese Photo Booth. Don't leave without trying the most delicious cakes in Austin from Simon Lee Bakery or grabbing a drink from Hill Country Events at the bar.

Bridal Bash

The Allan House's most recent open house was a blast! Thanks to all those who came out and enjoyed drinks, appetizers, mingling with our preferred vendors, and rockin' out with LC Rocks!

Illios Lighting provided the pink and purple uplighting on the outside columns, as well as the stars inside The Allan House.

The colorful linens chosen were purple dupioni and fuschia, as well as pewter satin and sparkle toppers, all of which were provided by Marquee Rents.

 Verbena Floral Designs provided the lush florals for the event.

 Cantina Laredo was on site with delicious appetizers.

The Cupcake Bar treated each guest to their own personal cupcake!

To tie the theme and decorations all together was LC Rocks. They entertained fans showcasing both their dinner music and their classic 80's rock and roll we all know them by. Guests had a blast dancing and singing along with the band!

Other vendors in attendance were A+ Student Staffing, Inviting Affairs, BoothBooth, and Simon Lee Bakery.
