Beautiful Memorial Day Weekend Wedding

Brandi and Michael had a classically beautiful wedding at The Allan House on Memorial Day. Not only was their wedding a night to remember, but their weekend highlighted this couple's love for Austin! The weekend consisted of a Friday evening get together at The Belmont, Saturday night party at Lustre Pearl, Sunday ceremony and reception in the heart of downtown at The Allan House, and to complete the night, a downtown party at Annie's West. 

My favorite detail of the event had to be their vintage wine glasses that have been collected for years to use on this special occasion. The details of the event were handled by Jeff Mcknight from Elite Events. Studio 563 was there to cover and take these gorgeous pictures and catering looked and tasted phenomenal by Pink Avocado.

The cake was made by Michelle's Patisserie. Floral was designed by Brenda Abbott.

This week's photo is an oldie but a goodie. Andy Peterson of Studio 563 captured this gorgeous sunset from the view of The Allan House's back porch at a promotional event back in July of 2007. I stumbled across it near the end of a long day yesterday and was instantly calmed and relaxed!

Summer Open House and Bridal Showcase!

We are SO excited about our Summer Open House and Bridal Showcase! It will be on Thursday, June 26th from 5:30 pm - 8:30 pm here at The Allan House. We will have a selection of some of our favorite vendors to help you plan your wedding. You will have the opportunity to interact with wedding professionals in a relaxed environment. Come prepared to ask the questions you've been jotting down in your wedding notebook about specific services and products, and see what our preferred vendors have to offer you for your special day. We will have the courtyard set up for a mock ceremony and reception, complete with tropical cocktails and delicious catering by Whole Foods Market. The entire courtyard will be transformed into a magical paradise in the middle of downtown Austin...there is truly nothing like it! We will be debuting our new colorful lanterns, as well as our new landscaping. This is your chance to see The Allan House as it could look for your wedding day. Please join us for this magical evening in paradise.

Studio 563 Slideshows

If we could give Studio 563 photographers, Andy Peterson and Jenna Vincent, "frequent flier miles" for all of the weddings they shoot here, these guys would be on their way to Australia. Between Andy and Jenna, Studio 563 has been here to shoot SIX of our Spring 2008 weddings (one weekend they were here two days in a row!) The funny part is, they have even more booked here throughout the rest of the year!! We love working with these guys...they take care of our clients and do amazing work. Another great part of having them shoot weddings here is that they do so many here, they really know the "lay of the land". They know the lighting, the layout of the house and courtyard, they know all the cool surrounding places downtown to take pre- and post-ceremony shots of the newlyweds, their bridal party and their families. They know all the great secret spots to get amazing shots of your ceremony, your bouquet toss, and your first dance. My favorite part of working with them is what you get after your wedding. Studio 563 always puts together a slideshow of the best images from a wedding and sends us the link to share with our future and prospective clients. The albums they put together for their couples are breathtaking...they completely capture the emotion of a couple's special day.
