Update: Deco at Dusk - Open House & Bridal Showcase

Last week I announced The Allan House's upcoming Open House & Bridal Showcase - Deco at Dusk, and today I am so thrilled to share the list of participating vendors.

Crave Catering will be here serving delicious appetizers and fine wine that you won't want to miss.   Some of the tastiest cakes in Austin will be served by Simon Lee Bakery. The talented Ava Arenella will be performing jazz music inside the house, and Look No Further Entertainment will be in the courtyard providing tunes. Gorgeous linens and rentals from Marquee and stunning florals from Verbena will set the mood for the Old Hollywood inspired evening.  Lighting throughout the house and courtyard provided by Ilios will add a breathtaking accent to the venue.  BZ Events, Inviting Affairs, Daniel C. Photography, and the Honeymoon Guru will all be here to mingle and share their expert advice. 

Admission to the bridal showcase is complementary, but RSVPs are appreciated. To do so please email intern@allanhouse.com. 

Deco At Dusk- Open House and Bridal Showcase

It is time again for our seasonally Open House and Bridal Showcase at The Allan House, and we are thrilled to announce that our upcoming event -Deco at Dusk- will be held on Wednesday, April 27th from 5:30pm-8:30pm.

Come and enjoy an evening full of art-deco elegance. Make it a fun date night, or a night out with the girls. As always, admission is complimentary and all are welcome. 

Enjoy the soothing jazz of Ava Arenella as you mingle with some of Austin's finest wedding vendors. Delicious hors d'oeuvres and drinks will be served all evening.

Lauren and Preston were married at Riverbend Church's Smith Family Chapel. After the ceremony, guests headed over to The Allan House for a vibrant reception.

The cake was by Simon Lee Bakery, and catering was done by Events by Emily.

Beth Walker of 36th Street Events provided the day-of coordinating services.

Petal Pushers designed the adorable florals.

The chandeliers hung along the porch were a DIY detail. Love it!

Look No Further Entertainment kept guests dancing all night.

Earth Day Fête

Thank you to all who attended our spring Open House and Bridal Showcase last Wednesday evening! The event was a great succcess, thanks to the help of all of our fabulous vendors who participated that night.

Welcome to our Earth Day Fête! Inviting Affairs provided the programs which guests used as fans for the warm spring evening.

Thanks to Marquee for providing the linens for the evening. The chocolate brown, apple and emerald green complimented each other perfectly!

Pascal's Catering provided delicious hors d'oeuvres and displayed them beautifully.

Ilios Lighting provided uplighting for the trees which made The Allan House glow a beauitful shade of violet!

Earth Day Fête Inspiration

Check out this fabulous inspiration board for our April 21st Spring Open House & Bridal Showcase: Earth Day Fête. After choosing the color palette for the event I decided to create an inspiration board to get a feel for the type of atmosphere I wanted to create.

Fortunately while perusing the web, I came across Dessy's inspiration board creator. The Dessy Group has partnered with Pantone to provide an easy way for brides to be to make their vision come to life.

With  Pantone Wedding you can design inspiration boards that show off your favorite colors, styles, accessories and inspirational photos. After you create your inspiration board you can share it with your wedding party and vendors via email or post it on your wedding blog or website.

Garden Party at The Allan House

Thank you to all who attended the Open House and Bridal Showcase last Wednesday evening! The event turned out beautifully, thanks to the help of all of our fabulous vendors who participated that night. Our guests enjoyed incredible appetizers provided by Galaxy Cafe Catering and delicious cake from Blue Note Bakery all while listening to the fantastic musical talents of Divisi Strings Quartet inside the house and DJ Boss Ross in the courtyard

Worried about those infamous Spring showers on your special day? Marquee Tents provided a beautiful tent that covers the whole courtyard and even brings our beautifully lit oak tree inside so that you still get that "outdoor feel."
